These have me wondering what the hell they are and why the hell they cost so much.
Off to google.

These are C2 Corvette turbine wheels, discontinued near the end of C2 production. They are highly desirable, even if they are period knock-offs, because they look goddamn amazing:

They look like Corvette C2 knock off's. I may be completely wrong though.

Dammit beat me to it. At least I was right.

Had it primed and ready since I had search open for Corvette pictures before I saw the post. :p
The C2 is easily one of the best-looking cars ever built, I think, and those wheels are the perfect complement.

Yeah, window is closing on that one...fast. At this rate, the only somewhat affordable ones will be projects.

I am figuring as the baby boomers die off most of the 60's muscle cars will decline in price, or not, but that's how I am planning to be able to afford one.

I think that would work for something like a Duster or Trans Am, but that the C2 has risen above that. It is simultaneously the most iconic and least produced generation of "USA's sports car." It is just too classic to too many people.

Hey great, see my dream there? Ya, it's now covered in shit. Thanks for that. :)

Nonsense, I've given you impetus to get one now and be rich later! $40,000 for an SUV or some other "practical" vehicle is wasted potential on something you will ultimately and willingly part with at a significant loss. Instead, this is a better expenditure because it will probably be worth more after that same passage of time as long as you keep it nice.

Damn that's pretty nice. Wish I could swing that now.
